So, is this kinda like buying a Condo? I've never heard of buying an apartment before. The double-hang in the master closet is the cat's arse, by the way; good stuff. Congrats. Always something to tinker with too, so keep that toolbox handy. :)

No, it's a condo. Apartments in brooklyn tend to be either condos or co-ops. Buying a condo is much nicer, as we've discovered.

Congratulations, Jason!
I bought my little townhome middle of last year (I can't believe how much time has passed) and haven't looked back. It's been a great experience, with so much still to do, stuff to buy, etc.
I'd love to see pictures once it's all decked out, too. :-)

This is actually kind of interesting from my point of view on the west coast. Never seen a place, apartment or otherwise, where the door is that thin. Over here, the window next to it would be the skinny, tall piece.
And this gallery reminds me: Why do you pay for .Mac, even though you own your own hosting + domain? I've looked at it several times, but can never come up with any proper justification to get it.

I keep renewing my .Mac subscription because I love using iPhoto with Homepage and I use Backup on a weekly basis to automate backups to my firewire drive.
Plus I use my .Mac e-mail account for all my software registrations, iSync to access my bookmarks remotely, and I like the free software Apple gives to .mac users on a regular basis (nothing directly from Apple, besides Backup, but there are free games and utilities from third parties).
Admittedly, I could do most of this on my own, and every year when I come up for renewal I have to really think about whether or not I want to keep going, but so far I've kept it for the last couple of years.

Congratulations Jason! I hope the new place works out well.
Interesting thoughts on .mac. I think the only use I've seen for it other than photos is podcasting, so its interesting to hear of its other uses.

Congrats, Jason. A really close friend of mine just bought a place with her boyfriend on the edge of Prospect Park, so I shudder to think about how much that place cost... Park Slope is a really nice area. Guess you might have to cut back on new comics for the next hundred years or so!
