The Amazon sale to end all sales.

Thanks to the Shack, I spotted this insane Amazon sale, which has all (or most, anyway) Fox Season 1 box sets for a measley 15 bucks. While I don't really care about 90% of those, the fact that the first season of Futurama is that low is like music to my ears. Actually, the sale's brought down the cost of the rest of the sets too (just not as much), enough so where I went ahead and ordered the complete Futurama on DVD for a rediculously low amount of money. I do so much traveling that having stuff like The Simpsons, The Critic, Bablyon 5, DS9 and the Batman series on DVD has really come in handy, but I decided to just rent the Futurama discs to listen to the commentary tracks. That's no longer an issue. w00p.

I also ordered the first seasons of Angel and 24. Angel I've seen and enjoyed, but 24 I never watched since you really have to watch it from the begining for it to make any sense. For $15 bucks (with free shipping), it's cheap enough where I'm totally willing to take a chance on it. Too bad The X-Files isn't that cheap. Milennium stunk and $15 is way too much to spend on that.

Thanks for the link, Jason. That's brilliant. I'm placing my order for ANGEL and then blogging this, also. It's too bad I already have the first seasons to most of the other shows. I'll pick up the 24 set, though, just for the extras.

I half expected to see an elegy to Christopher Reeve.... I've been really sad all day.

Hey, these things take time! I can't just crank that out in five minutes on my lunch hour.

Thanks for the amazon link. I picked up 24 as I never watched it but heard good things about it. I wanted to get Millenium (even though you don't seem to care for it) but the price is back up to $40 already instead of $15. Oh well, at least I got 24 for 15!
