There's a movement among conservatives to put Ronald Reagan on the $10 bill (thanks Jake).
You know, I've stayed good and quiet these last few days as the country looked back on the life of Ronald Reagan with rose-colored glasses. He was our president, he died of a horrible disease, and either one of those deserves a great deal of respect. But this is a bit much to ask me to swallow.

I totally agree. I wasn't that old when he was president, and I don't remember a whole lot about him, but from what I've read and was told, he wasn't one of the best presidents we've ever had. I don't even understand what that would accomplish really. Are they trying to say that he was more influential and important than Hamilton was? It's just bizzare.
I don't understand all the people who wanted to go up and see his casket either. Some of those people traveled for like 7 hours, only to wait in line for 5 hours to not see him, but a wooden box! Whatever.

I wouldn't mind him replacing Jackson on whatever bill he's on (20?) because even Ronnie isn't as bad as the man who's responsible for the "Trail of Tears" and general Indian massacre.

Stuff like this happens after someone this important dies all the time. It's an overreaction. It'll be corrected shortly enough. Don't fret.
But I just want everyone to remember this outrage when Carter or Clinton dies. Or Ted Kennedy or someone. The same kinds of things will happen then.
Splitting the dimes would be cool, though.

Oh man, Clinton on the $10 bill? I'd kill to see that. It'd be hi-larious.
Just think of the potential nicknames for it!
