I realize what they're trying to do here: basically create a liberal version of the conservative talk shows that pollute the airwaves, with snarling, cynical hosts who yell at callers. And I guess they succeeded. Ms. Rhodes seems to be every bit as much of a blowhard jackass as Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh.
Hopefully the rest of the shows on this network are less grating. I'd like to see this enterprise succeed, but ranting and raving (even if I do agree with the underlying opinions) just doesn't interest me.

I'm far from the liberal you are and I found myself quickly closing my realplayer (blech) as soon as Al Franken was over.
You will really enjoy the O'Franken Factor. He's had on some interesting guests and his points are well made. The only issue I have is his spending a little too much time tweaking the noses of the opposition. Consider yourself lucky that you can get it over regular airwaves. The whole streaming Real Player is a steaming pile of you know what.
I agree... it's a very good program. I might be biased because I find Franken so funny to begin with, but keep in mind that his co-host might be the most annoying woman on the planet.. just sort of try and mentally tune her out when she's talking.
I had basically the same opinion as you Jason. I listened to it once last week, and while it was good to hear counterprogramming to the typical right wing talk shows, I was a little disappointed that they didn't even try and raise the bar. That being said I sincerely hope they succeed, even if the level of discourse doesn't rise it's important to have a voice that's contrary to what's already out there.
